International Conference on Chinese Language Education: Theories and Practice in the Study Abroad Context (ICCLE)

The central theme of the conference focuses on the learning process and instructional development of CSL/CFL from cognitive, applied linguistic, social-cultural and pedagogical perspectives. Proposals on the following subjects will be fully considered.

  • Curriculum development and program articulation in the context of study abroad
  • Language gain, loss and retention, and intercultural process during and after the study abroad program
  • Assessment and theories of language for learning and teaching CSL/CFL in the context of study abroad
  • Professional development in the context of study abroad

 

Each paper presentation is 15 minutes long. Accepted papers that share a common theme will be organized into a panel. Each panel is followed by a 15 minute discussion period.
