WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ASIA? China, Japan and Korea

APSI and the Fuqua School of Business Global K-12 Outreach Program presented our 4th Annual Summer Institute at the Fuqua School of Business

Elementary School Teachers

This workshop involved many hands-on sessions designed to provide elementary school teachers with lesson plans and activities to use in their classrooms. Teachers also shared ideas and best practices for teaching about East Asia. CLICK HERE for workshop schedule.

Middle and High School Teachers
Tues, June 27, 2006
8:30am to 5:00pm

This workshop featured Professor Jean-Paul Rodrigue of Hoftra University who focused on the geography of East Asia. His sessions addressed questions such as What Is Asia and Pacific Asia? and Why Pacific Asia Matters? Sessions also covered the historical geography of East Asia in addition to the economies and societies of China, Japan, and Korea. The day ended with a session on Korea led by Maureen Maguire Lewis of Fuqua and a Japanese Taiko drumming workshop. CLICK HERE for workshop schedule.
