Duke’s 160th Commencement will be held on Sunday, May 13, at 10:00 a.m. in Wallace Wade Stadium with the student procession beginning at 9:30 a.m. All faculty and administration are invited to participate in the procession and sit with fellow faculty on the field beside the stage. The ceremony will feature the conferral of degrees, the awarding of honorary degrees, a student speaker and remarks from our Commencement speaker, Fareed Zakaria.
To let us know if you will participate in Commencement and to order complimentary apparel, please complete the RSVP/Apparel Order Form by March 19. (NOTE: the deadline for ordering apparel has passed, so please contact the Office of Special Events & University Ceremonies at (919)684-3710 if you have forgotten to order your regalia). We ask that you fill out the form to let us know your plans, even if you have your own apparel. Apparel may be picked up from the University Stores in the Bryan Center on or after Monday, April 30. We encourage you also to join colleagues, students and their families for the President's Reception on the Chapel Quadrangle on Saturday, May 12, from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Other events and special ceremonies during the weekend are listed on the Schedule of Events.
