------ A Home icon is located

page will return to our main group home page. Clicking on the
home icon within a paper will return you to that paper's table
of contents page.

you to this page.
Hypertextual links can be found within each web-page. A link looks like this. Clicking on it will take you to another web-page or section of a document -- often written by another author. Be aware that when you follow a link, you are altering the narrative flow of the document (this is often a good thing). You may find it useful to scroll up the new document to orient yourself to the new contextual discourse. To return back to your document, you should utilize the "back" command -- usually located at the top of your web browser.
For example, Scott Guthrie's paper on the Microsoft Network may have a highlighted link on "Gender." Selecting it will take you to a relevant section of Patricia Bowers' paper on Women and the Internet (if you try out this link, don't forget to click "back" to return to this document!)
The author of a document is clearly identified at the bottom of each page. If you wish to send email to the author, click on his or her's email address. Netscape will automatically provide an email form for you to send us your questions and comments.
For example, to email our class with any questions or comments:
English 169-02, Duke University, Spring 1995-- eng169-02@acpub.duke.edu
