Aviation Officer, Duke University

The Aviation Warfare Officer, a native of Darien Connecticut, commissioned from the United States Naval Academy on May 24, 2002 and holds a B.S. in Economics. In October of 2002, he reported to Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida, for flight school. Following a year and a half of classroom instruction and flight training, he earned his Naval Flight Officer wings. In May 2004, he transferred to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Washington, to begin training in the EA-6B Prowler. In May 2004, the Aviation Warfare Officer reported to the VAQ-140 “Patriots,” stationed in NAS Whidbey Island, WA, and attached to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) under Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW-7). While in the squadron, the Aviation Warfare Officer served as the First Lieutenant, Line Division Officer, and Assistant Operations Officer. During this time he also qualified as Mission Commander and helped lead the squadron in numerous deployments overseas. In January 2008, the Aviation Warfare Officer volunteered for a tour of duty with the Army, working with the Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force in Iraq.

The Aviation Warfare Officer reported to Duke University in September of 2008. He is the Freshman Advisor for the NROTC Battalion and teaches Introduction to Naval Science and Sea Power and Maritime Affairs.
