Jeff Gamble, T'11

Jeff Gamble is a  sophomore from Illinois who is majoring in Biomedical Engineering and possible minoring in another subject before graduating. He really enjoys classes that have to do with the human body, but would love to start taking some history courses since that's one of his favorite subjects.

Outside of class, Jeff is involved with the Newman Student Center for Catholic students and plans on becoming more involved in the future. He also participate in intramural basketball and would like to take advantage of other activities at Duke. He would also like to begin tutoring at one of the local elementary schools. The Reggie community has meant alot to Jeff for these past two years. The group interactions are that of a big family, so some of the group members have become like his sisters and brothers, which means a lot to you when you're away from home for most of the year. The Reggies are a community of intellectuals from a variety of backgrounds, which greatly improves the group dynamic, but in essence we are very much like one another. This provides for a great support group to fall back on, and this organization has had a profound effect on my collegiate experience that I'm sure will continue throughout the rest of my stay here at Duke.
