Funding: Graduate Students / Tuition Grants

APSI provides merit-based tuition fellowships to the students in the MA program in East Asian Studies. For first year students, the fellowship is expected to be $15,000. The award decision will be made during the admission review process; thus there is no need for the students to apply for the fellowship separately.

Second year students will need to apply for the $7500 tuition fellowship during the spring semester for their first year of study.

To apply, students should submit a copy of their official transcript, a 2-page, doubled-spaced, essay about their academic work at Duke, and two recommendation letters from faculty members who can speak about their work at Duke.  Applications must be submitted to Mary Lagdameo by March 13, 2015.
