About DCC

Duke China Care Club was started in 2006 as a service organization at Duke University. Our goal is to raise funds and awareness for China Care Foundation and the special-needs children they care for at the ChinaCare Home. Duke China Care Club fundraises every year to pay for surgeries and medical treatment for these children that are all born with special needs. Duke China Care Club also runs community service programs called Playgroups and Mentorship programs for the adopted Chinese children in the local Durhan and nearby areas. These programs are aimed at helping these children foster pride and understanding of birth heritage.

Mentorship Opportunities:
We have received several new requests for mentors for older Chinese adoptees. For any students interested in participating in the Mentorship Program, this could be a great opportunity to get involved. Please fill out our mentorship application and submit it to suellen.li@duke.edu. The application process can sometimes be competitive, and we generally accept based on a first come first serve basis, so apply early!
