Take Action

It's easy to be overwhelmed. It's easy to empathize. But it's hard to remember.

Here's how you can:

  1. Learn about those that that have suffered and are suffering
    • Invisible Children, forced to flee their homes every night or be kidnapped by a rebel army in Uganda
    • Slaves in Niger
    • Panida, forced into sexual slavery in Malaysia
    • Chinnanan, sold into slavery in South Asia
    • Manna, forced into sexual slavery in South Asia
    • Nagaraj, sold into slavery in Africa
  2. Advocate on behalf of the powerless
    • Visit our table on the quad March 6-10, 20-24 to send letters on behalf of slaves and donate pocket change
    • Write letters on your own asking that slaves in Niger be given their freedom
      • Letter Template
      • Postcard Template
      • Why write letters? Advocacy. Solidarity. Letters let governments know that their activities have not gone unnoticed and that those they have considered unimportant and unnoticed are neither. Letters from our country are widely considered to be powerful influences on other governments.
    • Come to our showing of Invisible Children on March 22nd and find out how to help from people who had to find out themselves
  3. Pray:
    • For the rescue of abused
    • For the recovery of the rescued
    • For the safety of those intervening
