Duke Students for Humane Borders is a student service organization whose purpose is to educate and spread awareness on issues concerning immigration, with emphasis on our nation's border with Mexico. We currently have six main foci:
1. Monthly film screenings pertaining to border issues.
2. One fall and one spring art installation or presentation.
3. Bring speakers to campus.
4. Production of a yearly literary publication, entitled Undocumented, formed from the diverse voices of the Duke community pertaining to issues of immigration and cultural awareness.
5. Establishment of a house course focusing on issues of international undocumented immigration.
6. Recruitment of Duke students to volunteer for a week or more in the Arizona desert dispensing humanitarian aid with No More Deaths.
