Duke Students for Life (DSFL) is the campus pro-life organization at Duke University in Durham, N.C. We are dedicated to promoting pro-life viewpoints, awareness of abortion-related issues, and support for pregnant mothers, both at Duke University and in the surrounding community. We work to defend the rights of the unborn and to educate Duke's young leaders about the negative effects of abortion.
We invite you to find out more about us and our cause at our upcoming events:
Speech by Pro-Life Attorney & Author Rebecca Kiessling
Wednesday, April 4, at 7 p.m.
Clear your calendars for this year's guest speaker!
Adopted at birth, Rebecca Kiessling learned at 18 that she had been conceived as the result of a violent rape and that her mother would have aborted her, had it been legal in Michigan at the time. A pro-life family law attorney, her work has led to appearances on shows such as Good Morning America, CBS News, and CNN's Talk Back Live. She has taken on several cases centered on the protection of unborn children, including one involving frozen embryos. You can find out more about her here.
Cemetery of the Innocents
A visual reminder of the unborn children lost to abortion
Using 353 American flags to represent the 3534 unborn children lost to abortion every day in the United States, we're opening Duke's eyes to the tragedy of abortion. Want more information? Check us out on the main quad on Wednesday, April 18!
The photo is from the last time DSFL created a Cemetery of the Innocents, in the spring of 2001.
