"Homosexual persons no less than heterosexual persons are individuals of sacred worth."
The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church, 2000
Sacred Worth is a student organization devoted to serving the community at Duke Divinity School by increasing awareness of lesbians and gays in the church. All members of the Divinity School community, regardless of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, physical or mental abilities (that means all!) are invited to participate. The group seeks to promote understanding about LGBTQI people in the church through various opportunities for discussion and dialogue.
