Johanna Schoen, a former WGFH participant while in graduate school at UNC, now in the History Department at the University of Iowa, is the author of Choice & Coercion: Birth Control, Sterilization, and Abortion in Public Health and Welfare

Gender and Empire: Antoinette Burton Antoinette Burton is a professor of history at the University of Illinois and is author of numerous books that deal with gender, race, and empire. She will also be giving the Anne Scott lecture at Duke for Women's History Month. You are invited to stay for dinner afterwards.
